i have a t3 in 270 and love it,i'll bet you will see alot more recoil with the 06. bigger dia. more recoil. and it will really show up with a light weight rifle. 140grn bullet in 270 will kill just about anything. i think the t3 is by far the best rifle on market in that price range. great trigger,smooth action and very light.
