diyj98 - Have you owned any Tikka with a walnut stock? I' m looking at buying my first one. I like the look of the wood, but I imagine over time the synthetic will hold up the best at least on the surface.
I' m with you about the quality and tight patterns these rifles are tested at from the factory. 1" groups at 100 yds for the price. I don' t know any other rifle at the price out of the box that is that accurate.
Would just like to hear from some about wood vs. synthetic Tikkas. Thanks

The three Tikkas I own now are all synthetic stocked. I did have a wood stocked .223, but that' s an entire different animal. It was the one with the adjustable check piece, and target rail. I also once owned a Tikka shotgun/rifle combo that was wood stocked, but I' ve never one of the whitetail hunters with a wood stock. I' ve become a diehard synthetic stock man over the last few years.
