GG, I see why the dish, your experience is not unheard of with the 7400..I understand fully. It does seem though when ever a topic is raised Rem. is the brunt of many<img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>. I was simply stating I have never had a feed problem with a rem. I owned and have always been pleased.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the range yesterday, it was way too windy and I had some family obligations. I will definitely make it later in the week though. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the break in information for my barrel, I would not have known to do that!. Adios.

Goodguy.....You are right! I didn't do the dollar bill test. It was the ten dollar bill test, but she still passed! I will likely be at the range Wednesday or Thursday and will report back on the results.

I've currently have 3 Tikkas. One hasn't been shot, but the other two are extremely accurate and I've never had any problems from the plastic clips. The plastic framed Glocks seem to be holding up well.

Its funny to read some of the replies about Tikkas. ALot of the negative' s come from people who dont/or havent owned one. I have a tikka stainless/synthetic in 308. There is nothing wrong with the stock and yes I can slide paper under it i.e. fre floated. the barrell soesnt touch the stock anywhere and it is even. yes it has a plastic mag, so what. It sticks i nthere tight and I have never accidentally pushed the button and dropped it out. It is not easy to do because they didnt make it easy to do. One less part to rust. The bolt is as smooth as any i have ever worked. The trigger is the best out of the box trigger i have ever fired. The good part is it shoots damn good, the only part that really matters.
