Scope bases and position of base on barrel
I have an old Navy arms 50-70 rolling block rifle and
I want to put a scope on it and use it for hunting..
It is an octagon barrel...My question is how do I deter
min which base I need and where to have it positioned
on the barrel..I was thinking in the line of a long base
like the Weaver so I can have four mounting screws..

Yes sir you are correct I have such a base instock if you want to e-mail me I can help you out. They will need to be drilled and tapped into your barrel. Be sure this is the direction you want to go before you deside to drill? [email protected]
