Default scope question

I picked up a used gun at the local shop the other day that had a leupold scope on it. It seemed to be a Vari-X III 3.5- 10 or close to it. When I looked at it through low power it all looked good, but when I turned the power all the way up, the hairs got real fuzzy. Was this a bad scope or does this happen with the higher powers. I have a leupold 3-9 and I dont have this problem so I dont believe it was my eyes.

Thank you
Chris

I have a Weaver V24 and have the same problem. I'm not sure why if it's my eyes or because of the higher power setting.Send it to Leupold for servicing. They have a Lifetime warranty,

yes i agree on the front of the scope there should be a paralex adjuster some have distance settings...if it doesnt have one try looking out ofit at a long distance cranked up it may clear up..if not i agree send it to leupold..life time warrenty..they will refurbish it or if its bad send you a brand new one...

A lot of the less expensive (CHEAP!!) scopes do this, but I have two variable Leupolds, a VXII 2-7X and a VXIII 2.5-8X, and they don't! I should think a Leupold would remain pretty well focused throughout it's power range. Ask Leupold. They might be able to fix it for you.

Keep yore powder dry!!
