If online, many sellers on the big gun sites are inflating the shipping, handling, and "insurance" prices to cover the difference so their price looks cheaper, but you end up paying the same. It's common to see shipping prices quoted at $40 - $60 or more, plus insurance is extra!
Then there's the question of what you FFL transfer dealer will charge you for recieving the firearm. The one I use charges $30, so that needs to be factored in to the price.

It sounds like a pretty good deal, but is that for an over the counter sale, or are you seeing that price online?

429 dollars +12.99 dollars shipping and my FFL charges 25 dollars. It is brand new in the box

Only one choice for caliber 30-06. That homely cartridge that no one thinks is good anymore.
