LOL That homely old cartridge doesnt get any love because it sorta cancels the needs for owning any other guns oeh 
No true gun lover could ever justify owning only 1 gun! BTW Thats a helluva price! Im thinking about a T3 lite in stainless in the 6.5 or 25-06.

It depends on the options. Synthetic stock and blued barrel run closer to the $500 figure. The walnut or laminated stocked rifles will run in the high $500s I've seen. SS barrel is a bit more, too.
I thing a new Tikka T3 for around mid-400 bucks is a great deal.
