Yeah... I'm kind of a wood and steel man myself, but that group was shot in "groundhog" weather/temps. I really like the beauty of wood, but I feel that technology is really where it's at. I don't know what it will do at 30 deg., but I probably never will find out with this particular rig. After all, it's a varmint gun. If you want to shoot 'yotes in the winter, I would expect I would be using a lighter weight-barreled rifle, due to the frequent changes of set-up.

Thanks guys for the info.I am planning on putting a bipod on it this weekend and see what she'll do at the range.As for now the scope that came with it will have to do until after christmas.But as soon as x-mas passes im heading to the gun shop to get me a better scope.

i do agree with wyo...the stock is cheesy plastic for sure...but, i do like the design of it..flat forend...vented..almost a palm swell...
already got a Jewel trigger and a laminated benchrest style stock picked out...will get to it sooner or later...till then, we will keep poppin groundhogs as far as we can see em as is...
