If you didn't clean it before you shot, just do it after. Shouldn't be an issue. Rarely clean mine. Generally speaking, try and clean any gun before you take it out to shoot, shoot, then clean again. Definitely not a big deal here though.

You'll be fine breaking in doesn't have to do with a time frame it deals with the number of shots. Clean shoot - Clean shoot - Clean shoot. Breaking in just smoothes out the kinks of the rifle and causes things to "settle" it becomes more accurate as it "settles". It doesn't ruin the barrel because you didn't "break it in" during the first month.

22s shoot all lead bullets and as long as you clean them once in a while, that'll be good enough. You didn't state if you've got a semiautomatic or manually operated action. Your worst worry will be powder residue clogging the action and trigger group-especially with semiautos.

I've never worried about breaking in a barrel. I just go out and shoot it and enjoy it. When we think about it we will run a cleaning patch through it. All my .22's have several thousand rounds through them with no problems at all. We may shoot over 1000 rounds on a weekend through one without cleaning the barrel until we finish.

Just clean it and oil it before you shoot it next. And when you are done shooting it, do the same again. There is not much to break in on a 22, especially a bolt action. Breaking in a gun is an over rated thing for run of the mill, walk and stalk or plinker guns. Probably the best thing that you can do for a new gun is to clean it and oil it before you shoot it for the first time, then after that its all about maintanance. For competition, long range shooting guns, a break in cylce is a good idea for them.
