Default New Kimber Tactical

Has anyone saw the new Kimber Tactical rifles? They have three models and they look pretty nice.

I guess. Put on a different stock and change the bolt knob, raise the priceand abracadabra it's "tactical". Ain't marketing great.

Good grief, for that price, I'd get a FN SPR (a better rifle to atart with) and still have enough money left over for a high end set of rings.

I think that is probably what Kimber is trying to compete with...

I have only looked at the Kimber in pictures but have shot most of the FN SPR and PR series of rifles and they do very well. The Kimber Tactical and FN SPR both are using a M70 style action and Mc Millan stocks, the barrels are different I suppose , the FN's are chrome lined and dont foul as bad. The FN has more options than the Kimber but both ought to be comparable. Dont know about the accuaracy of the Kimber but the FN are said to shoot 1MOA or better and the A3G has a 1/2 MOA guarantee. I just took the plunge today and ordered a FN SPR A1 in 308 Win myself as I have a Leupold Mark IV 4.5x14 M1 LT/R sitting around. A range report will follow in the future
