480 ruger question
greetings everyone.
I have a 480 ruger SRH that I would like to use for deer hunting this year. I have noticed, that the recoil is a little stout, and a lot of the time, the skin on my knuckles gets peeled off from the trigger guard.
is there a type of recoil reducing glove that would help? I think the ruger grips are pretty good, but is there a better grip i could put on it to help reduce recoil?
thanks

You have the choice of P.A.S.T. shooting gloves, hogue grips, and might consider porting it or having a muzzle break installed. Proper fitting, recoil adsorbing grips are a must. I don't understand the recoil doing that to your hand unless you might be gripping it wrong or the factory grips just don't fit you at all. It don't bother me when shooting full house loads of .454 casull. Another idea is to work up a slightly reduced load when reloading.
