RE: need info handgun scope
Thwew's 2 ways to go about scoping a blackhawk. The first is gunsmithing type that requires drilling and tapping the topstrap. The second method is no gunsmithing clamp on type mounts such as B-square or s&k. It's easy to see that the drilled and tapped version is rock solid vs the clamp on mount, but the clamp on mount will not permanently alter your handgun. You need to decide which type scope mount is best for you.

I have a B-Square on my SBH and it's rock solid. You have to remove the rear sight from the pistol then slip on the barrelcradle, screw the scope mount to the barrel cradle and to the rear sight screw hole and you're all set. Install the scope and go shoot.
