otis - As you've probably seen in a few of my previous posts, I have mourned the loss of my two BLR 81s (one a .284 Win and the other a 7mm-08). Well, looks like I get a second chance!

This one will unquestionably be chambered in .358 Win. Can't think of a better "walking around the woods" rifle!!

Are all the new ones "lightweight"?

Are the triggers really that bad? And why is it hard for folks to get smiths to adjust them?

I like lever guns. I'm seriously looking into buying a BLR 30-06. Oh, I miss my old marlin 30-30. Killed my first deer with that rifle... And now it's gone . I think the BLR's look ugly, but as long as they shoot good...

I've heard old guys talk about thier dad's old 30-06 lever gun, and how good of a shot he was with it. Takes me back to a simpiler time.

since i already own a 450marlin. maybe hornady might come out with differant bullets for it.
i just don't think i could fork over $1,000.00 for a BLR81 in 358win though.

what gets me pissed off is that i originally wanted a BLR in 7mm-08rem and they said they don't make that anymore. i guess i should of waited to see what happens in 2003.
