RE: remington Corelokt
I use them in my 30-30 the 170 grains and they are super accurate. I went shooting this last weekend at our local range and I shot good enough IMO. Now, I was only shooting at 50 yards (that is the furthest shot I will get) and I was in the 9 ring or better every time.

RE: remington Corelokt
The Corelokts shoot great in my 870.
Switched to the Winchesters Supremes 2 seasons ago because I went late to buy ammo and they were out of the rems. The wins shoot great too.
I just love those speedy 1900fps 385 grain sabots.
Pretty darned flat for a slug, and consistent too, at least in my gun.

CoreLokts?
Surprisingly good accuracy, fine on paper targets.
Good at lower to medium speeds and on deer and smaller size game.
One could do a life time of deer hunting and think they are great.
Since most folks "gold standard" is deer, most folks love them with no real reason to question them.
IMHO, they get pretty pitiful at higher speeds or in less than perfect conditions for larger, tougher game. [I forgot, everything and everyone is perfect on the Internet.]
I absolutely do not care for them for bigger game hunting.... preferring Nosler Partitions as the minimum for elk and Barnes TSX even better. Let's see, $1000+ into a two week elk trip on public land with a 5 day hunting window and shot opportunities that are "as you find them" and trying to save a few pennies (or a few dollars) on bullets/ammo.... false economy IMO.

RE: remington Corelokt
I've killed several bull elk with them out of my 30.06 before I switched to my 300 rum. I never had a problem with them. Longest shot was only 175 yards though, most shots under 75 yards. Never had a problem sighting in out to 300 yards.

RE: remington Corelokt
My little Saiga carbine (.223) really likes core-lokts. I get better patterns from them than just about anything else. They even did better than those black box winchesters. I think it has something to do with the shape of the cart and the shape of the chamber. I haven't shot them out past 150 yet.
