RE: Good deal on BAR's
Too bad about the problem with the .270. How did the 06 shoot after you got the scope put on it. I don't know why, but I love that smooth wide trigger on the BAR. I hope they haven't changed that part of it from the old 1977 model like I have. Yea I like the Rugers and always have. I am a Browning man at heart though, love their shotguns. I have an old B-80 that I dove and crow hunt with. I would love to have one of the older Auto-5 semis that was made in Belgium. Good luck on both the .270 and 06.

Smokepole,I appreciate your condolences about my Stalker 270 LOL..I'm going to wait until I get the 270 back before I go to the range and try them out.I'm sure they will be good shooters.I have to agree about the older Browning shotguns made in Belgium. They were fine shotguns no doubt. I have a A-5 3" mag Belgium as NIB.I did find one rust spot or should I say spec on the receiver about the size of a pin head.It was probably on it when I bought it and never noticed it.It came with a 28" Modified barrel. A friend had a 30" Full Choke (Belgium)and wanted the 28". We traded barrels. Except for the barrel being fired my gun is unfired.Ruger makes some nice doubles but a little to rich for my pocket. Two grand for a SxS is a little much.I guess the Japanese Browning's are okay, but I just can't swallow Made in Japan on a Browning.
