.38 super ammo?????
I have acquired a colt commander .38 super auto, 70 series. I have been told not to use +P ammo in it. My local guns store will order ammo but they suggested for me to ask online if there is a specific company that makes non +P .38 super ammo. Do you know of any?
Also, if you have preferences regarding grain and bullet type, please add that.
I would love to find suitable ammo for this gun.
It was my father's and it would mean alot to me.

RE: .38 super ammo?????
You should be able to find standard loaded .38 Super at the bigger gun shops. The big retailers (Bass Pros,Cabelasand Gander) probably won't have it.
The .38 Super was never a very popular round, most people figured if you were going to carry a full sized autoloader it may as well be a .45
However, ballistically it is a decent enough load. I shot one years ago for awhile before the 9mm became popular.
Good luck, and enjoy your Dad's pistol.
