scope for a rifle
I own a 300 weatherby magnum. Considering putting a good quality scope on it for hunting of all kinds, from grizzlies to deer.
Who makes the best quality scopes for the money. All opinions appreciated.

I haven't tried one yet but if they are as good as they claim I would get a Shepherd. 3-10X with range finding reticles out to 900 yards. Nitrogen filled, shockproof, waterproof, and best of all guaranteed for life.

RE: scope for a rifle
I have a leupold vari-x III 3.5x10 50mm on my 270 weatherby. I have had nothing but good luck with leupold, but I just bought my dad(for his birthday) a nikon monarch 3.5x10 50mm for his 270 win. I am hoping it is about as good and was a decent amount less money. Anybody had good or bad with the Monarch?

RE: scope for a rifle
I have a Rem. 700 sendero in 300 ultra-mag. after trying a leupold lps I tried the Shepherd 310-P1A and it's the best scope I've ever bought. Every rifle I own will have a shepherd on it before long.
