I've got a CDL in 3006 and it's great. It's very pleasant to shoot with the R3 recoil pad and enough weight to help recoil too. A 243 CDL should be almost like shooting a 22 rimfire.

I've held the CDL in .243, & I positively swooned! That sexy stock with the slender fore-end and the tight pistol grip... that short, tight bolt cycle... grrrrrrrrr! If I didn't already own a .243 that I seldom shoot, it would be MINE!
Sobering up some... I'd expect to do a trigger job on it, but other than that she oughta shoot just fine. You'll spend more time obsessing over which scope to get, than worrying about whether or not you picked the right rifle!
God Bless,

I have one in 7-08. I installed a Rifle Basix trigger, worked up handloads, and have one of the sweetest shooting rifles I've ever owned. Not only is it pretty, it sure does what you expect a rifle to do.
