Too bad they had no pocket guns.

RE: Too bad they had no pocket guns.
Having students being allowed to carry guns to school is a ridiculous idea.
If they are 21 and older, have gone through the requisite training/licensing program for CCW, why should they be treated any differently than other CCW holders?

RE: Too bad they had no pocket guns.
I worked Campus Security/Police for three years while I was in community college. We were unarmed, no Pepper spray, no cuffs, nothing. I carried a 3" folding knife and so did my supervisor, he stored a 9mm in the office but thats it. After seeing the types of irresponsible college students, IWOULD NOTwant just any body to be able to carry on campus. If they went through the Sheriffs Dept. andgot a CCW permit then thats fine, but not just any student, there are too many immature students out there.

In case you are interested. I was with an old friend. There was a drunk guy jumping from the hood of one car to the next just caving in the hoods. My buddy breaks in to a jog and pulls out his pistol. The once jovial jerk off stops what he is doing begs for his life and then asks my buddy if the car he's on is his. Suddenly very mature and forth right! Interesting how that works. Was my buddy right for pulling a gun on a guy jumping on cars. Probably not but that wasn't the point of the story.

RE: Too bad they had no pocket guns.
I've lived in a frat house full of drunk kids, and while I wasn't allowed to have guns in mine because it was college owned housing, I don't see why somebody can't have a gun in a fraternity if it's off campus. I know a friend from high school who had his in his fraternity house (off campus). The point of the matter is, if someone has their CCW permit, then they'll be allowed to carry it to house parties, bars (in some states, although not the smartest thing to do), etc....however they're not allowed to carry them on campus, the place they are most likely to be sober and responsible.

So because they belong to a fraternity you feel that they shouldn't have the right to protect themselves and their loved ones from a psycho like this?
Maybe folks from Lancaster, PA should be treated the same way. Cause we all know people that live there only want to go out, get drunk and shoot up the place.
Or maybe Irish people shouldn't be able to protect themselves either because we all know that they are the biggest drunks of us all.
It's really amazing when you get right down to it how many gun owners are really and truelyanti 2nd amendment in some way shape or form. You're either with us or against us.

There are times to cut loose and have fun, and there are times to be sober and serious. Some people can be intelligent enough to know how to act and when.

No, just sometimes common sense needs to takeover. Allowing ANYBODY to carry concealed ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, they want is just ridiculous. imo I know many people that I wouldn't trust with a spoon, let alone a pistol. And many of them were students/classmates at the college I worked at.

It is not open to interpretation. It guarantees EVERYONE theRIGHT to keep and bear arms. Not everyone except college students but EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!
I don't recall itmentioning ...............the right of the people, unless you are enroled in college, to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Felons can't have or carry firearms. Should they? They would be included in the 2nd Amendment right? And no, I don't want Clinton, Juliani, Kennedy, Feinstein controlling ANYTHING, especially gun rights. I totally agree that if the Prof or one of the students were carrying then most likely more people would have survived. I just don't think that EVERYONE should carry whenever and wherever they want, especially in schools. But like I said before, if you have a CCW permit, then you should be able to.
