At my local shooter's supply, they were advertising Patternmaster Chokes, and they had a Remington 870 with the Patternmaster, and a Mossberg 500 with the pattermaster, and they had shot at some brown paper, and both were amazing groups, the Remington 870 just a hair better than theMossberg 500.

I have never owned either, but if I had to choose, I would take an 870 over a Mossberg anyday. I have friends that own both, and to me, the 870 appears to be better "quality" (just my opinion).
