Recently acquired a 1969 Rem 700 BDL in .243 & the stock has some pretty good dings & scratches. I'd like to get a new stock for it, prefer laminated thumbhole or at least a monte carlo laminate stock - anyone got a good, wholesale priced connection? Like every other cheapskate on here, I'm looking for a deal. Cheapest I've found online are Boyds around $85 without shipping. On ebay, they darn near bring full price. Looking for some options & I figured at least a couple of you have gone through this already.

Agreed. I've dealt with Boyd's on a few stocks. Nice stuff. Some have a bit of a lead time so you may want to check on availability when you order.
