Not another Savage.............
............ but...
a M22 that Cooper built just for me in 6.5x284. I furnished the wood on this project. I threw a Nikon on it for now but it will soon have either a Leupold Mark 4 8.5x25 LR M1 mil-dotor a Swarovski PH 6x24 with TDS4 reticle for it.
I probably wont shoot it till I have the new scope but will get back with a review on how it performs. The test target used a 140 SMK and R-22 powder and 3 shots were into .050", they guarantee 1/2" or less.
I will get a Savage 6.5x284 when they are available, it looks like a nice one, though I dont care for Savages
Not a great pic but I will get some others soon.

RE: Not another Savage.............
This wasnt meant to put down Savage guns, I mentioned Savage on account they just released news that they were bringing out a 6.5x284 and I had just recieved this one. Maybe I should have pickeda different header.
Yes James, I believe in "to each their own" also, we all put different values on different things and that's what makes us all different.

RE: Not another Savage.............
Dan.....Absolutely nothing wrong with the Nikon other than this one has a fine target reticle and is very hard to see in low light shooting situations and lacks any ranging capabilities.
I putthe Nikonon the rifle so if I really had the "wants" to shoot it right away I could. I have to wait till the 18th for my other choices.
