Best .22 bolt action?
I'm looking into purchasing a new .22. I just bought a 10/22 after I got sick of my marlin 60 jamming every 3rd round no matter what I tried to fix it. And I finally ran across one of those Charles Daly Zastava .22 Mausers. I can get it for a little less than $200. So, what say you guys from experience, go with the European Daly Mauser.... or maybe a marlin or savage or something of the sort? Or should I possibly save up a little more and get a .223 instead? Any and all information/opinions are greatly apprecated, thanks a ton.

I have 2 Marlins that shoot very well. A model 882 in .22 Mag that shoots 3/4in at 100 yards and a 917V in .17 HMR that shoot 1/2in or less at 100 yards. My little brother has a Marlin Modle 925 that shoots right at 1in or less at 100 yards. I know there are other good rimfires out there but for around $200 you can beat a Marlin or Savage for the accuracy. I never owned a Sacage but my 882 has over 3000 rounds through it and my 917V has about 600 rounds through it. I dont remember ever having a misfire with either of them.

I have heard good things about the CZ 452 trainer. You can find them for a little over $200. Thats what Im planning on buying in a few weeks. I have held one before and it feels great and has a really smooth action.

I'd seriously look at the Marlin, for the money it will likely outshoot all the others. They have a much improved trigger and the heavy barrel versions will shoot tiny groups. The CZ is a very good gun but not worth the extra cash you'll have to spend, just use it to get a good scope and some ammo!
