Default Now Not So Butt-Ugly Stevens 200

Got the stock refinished and remounted yesterday and wanted to share a few pics with ya'll. It is a Stevens 200 in 7mm-08 with a Nikon ProStaff BDC 3x9-40mm scope. I used a Krylon paint designed for outdoor plastic furniture, this will make the 2nd time I've used it. If allowed to cure, it seems to hold up pretty well. Since the barreled action was a nice uniform black in color, I went with Sandstone w/black peppering. The spray paint actually has the black peppering built into it so it was just a spray on, let dry process. I gave it 2 coats about 2 hrs apart and 1 can covered it with a bit to spare if touch-ups were needed. While off, I mounted a LimbSaver recoil pad, part # 10030, in case anyone wants/needs one. Fit was great overall, but did require one mount hole be moved/re-drilled 3/8" farther apart.

Someone else's before pic from the 'net:

Now here she is in her new make-up and LimbSaver Recoil Pad:

Don't mid the camera date, as usual I had to put in new batteries and didn't reset things like I should have.

edit to fix pic tags..

I thought looks diddent matter at all?
About time.. been waiting on you ALLLLLL day! It was like waiting for that ole bass you just know is in the pond somewhere to strike at the bait!

Stock needed work, well known issue, those mold lines are SHARP, it was more of a self-preservation issue. That and I got tired of the "you got a Rem 710?!?" comments...
