Burn $700 @ Gunshow?
Acouple hundred $in silver bars.
A couple hundred $ in Bullets, Powder, and Cases.
I would find something for the last $300.
Gold maybe.
More Powder and Bullets.
If I just "had" to buy a gun...

RE: $700 for new gun
DMcguire,
There is a show in Barre Vt on February 3rd and 4th. I'm a little over 2 hours away in upstate NY. It is at the Barre Civic Center. I went last year and was amazed at the amount of guns they had. I used to be a regular at the State Fairgrounds show in Syracuse, NY, and feel the Vermont one was way better. They had an entire hockey rink and stage, plus a huge room downstairs with probabally 90% of the merchandise being guns.
My basic search list includesan older Ithaca 16 guage w/ modified or deerslayer barrel, a used ruger 77/.22wmr, any other Ithaca model 37, and perhaps something new in a .308. Can't rule out looking at the new CZ rimfires if they have them around. Of course, anything is fair game if the price is right.

Pretty nice one with dies, cases and bullet components on the RugerForums for sale. Just an FYI, I considered it myself but have heart set on 7mm-08.
