Cheap and reliable! And you want to protect your life and a clients??? Either you have cheap clients... or little value for your own life. Buy the best you can and fire it several hundred rounds to make sure the weapon is functioning correctly and "broke in", this especially true with any semi-auto weapon.
This being said...the Rock River Arms are fairly well regaurded as good firearms. ie. good value for the money.

If I were the executive being protected, I think I might be ticked off if I knew my protector was trying to cheap-out on his protective gear. You get to write it off as a business expense, so why go the cheap route?

If you buy a firearm like other things because they are necessary for your occupation, you should be to write if off for taxes, so buy quality!

I would go buy a used Colt AR-15 from a reputable dealer.Then i would order a Alexander Arms.50 Entry Kit from Cabelas.The kit comes with flat to receiver,hand guard and 16' barrel and comes chambered for the .50 Beowulf!!!!Talk about executive protection...

i own a DPMS , i have one heavy barrel upper in .223
and one in 7.62X39 . both very accurate the 223 shoots 1/2 inch groups and will do that all day long. the 7.62X39 is a 1moa gun with most holes touching . the only trouble i have had was with the scopes, seams most scopes cant hold up to the kind of recoil an AR produces . but other than that ,not a lick of problems .
