30-06 Ammo
Hey all,
I just got a new 30-36 for christmas, and am in need of ammo. I have found places I can get mil surplus pretty cheap, but "voids warranty" to shoot it. The ammo description claims it to be non-corrosive and boxer primed, so is there a reason to stay away from it for gun health? any and all info is welcomed and appreciated...

Substandard casings bad primers and alot of times the bullet quality isnt the greatest.Cheap bullets usually foul your barrel quicker than good quality ammo.I shoot winchester ballistic silvertips out of all my rifles,it isnt cheap but ive never had any problems either.Hope this helps.

Well if you are close to a Wal Mart get ya a few boxes of Federal Classic ammo. It runs 9.99 a box here. Its damn good stuff for the price...used to be higher than the core loktsand the power points but the fusion ammo came out and the price dropped. Power shok bullets are great for deer as about 50 have fallen to them from my guns..lol. Core-lokts would always come highly reccomended as well.
