only thing you will notice is more recoil and more money spent on ammo. i've killed over a hundred deer with the 270 win without a problem. the wsm guns are alot harder on barrels too.............

Either one are great deer cartadges , the wsm will give extended range . I have a 270 wsm , bought a win black shadow , dont know why but it is the most accurate riffel Ive ever shot , mild recoil , but BIG boom , sounds like an atomic bomb going off . As far as availability , the wsm are very popular , should not be hard to come by ammo , not like remmington ultra mags , which have not sold nearly as well .
