Rem 760 Bolt Removal

Default Rem 760 Bolt Removal

I would like to remove my bolt for cleaning and rebluing of the rifle. Pleases post if availiable.

Check out www.e-gunparts.com they have schematic breakdowns of almost any gun. I know the 760 is on there I tried to order a new sight for mine. I never tried to remove the bolt on mine so good luck.

The barrel, bolt, andslide comeoff as a unit. The tube beneath the barrel has 4 holes I think. These are for a spanner wrench. Unscrew this tube (it's a nut actually) and the barrel/bolt unit slides forward and out.
Kind of a rooty poot way to attach a barrel but it does work.
