Ruger to chamber 358 Win.
Ruger to chamber 338 Fed. & 358 win. in Frontier 16.5 in barrel scout set up carbine,The 338 Fed. to be chambered in M77 All Weather also..
I'm glad the 358winny is now being chambered in two guns now..
Now if it was chambered in a 22in. barreled boltgun.

I've posted before, I'm not crazy over the 338 Fed. ,Its just to close to the 8mm Mauser (when loaded to its full potential)
But it does work in a short action and it not a Magnum..
And I hear the 200 gr. Fusion bullet is being added to the line up..
But I've always liked the 35 Cal.
Maybe the 338 Federal will bring life to the 358winny.

The Ruger website says that they will make the hawkeye (next gen M77) in a 22" barreled all-weather.. so we got our wish. I think the SS hawkeye will be made in the 338 federal as well
For those folks who want a 20" I am sure it wouldn't cost much to have 2" lopped off and recrowned.

I'm like you about the .338 federal-it is an answer to an UNASKED question. the .338 federal has been around for years as the .338-08. I personally see nothing the .338 federal can do that the .358 winchester cannot do.
