The new Hornady ammo will give the 30-30 hunter an adge over the round and flat nose bullet. How much is questionable but there is a reason that all bullets are not flatt points. IMO. It will give an honest 50 yard advantage over the old rounds. I don't think Hornady is trying to doop anyone. If they are sighting at 200 for their data, its probably because the new ammo makes 200 yards a much more realistic goal. Will The new ammo transform the 30-30 into a long range deer killer? NO but whats wrong with a little improvement for the old lever guns?
