RE: New Rifle
Your not working for my wife are you?[:@]
Anyways, if this is just for fun. . . .I would keep my Savage 12BVSS in 300 WSM. It would need to be properly set in a McMillan A5 tactical stock, with a Krieger 28" barrel and have a custom USO SN-3 with all the bells and whistles mounted on it!
As it is right now, fresh out of the box with a Burris XTR, it is doing great. I can't wait to see what bedding it with steel bed does for it.

If I could only have one, it would be an M1A (.308). It's not my favorite by any means, and not really what I'd consider a jack-of-all-trades, but my guns are for self-defense, not just hunting. Firepower is important when facing two-legged critters.

if you could have (for free) any rifle to have, but you coul only keep that rifle and no other guns that you alredy have. what would you get. what calibre would you get it in. (im trying to maybe get an idea for a new rifle if i can afford it)
I would get a Remington model 710 in .270 calibre

I'd get a Mannlicher-Schoenauer carbine in 7X57mm, and put a fixed-power Leupold or Zeiss 6X scope on it.....
