RE: Laminate vs. composite stock
There are only two composite stocks that I will even remotely consider: HS Precision pro series& Bell & Carlson Gold Medalist. Now these are far from your ordinarly composite stocks, they both have Aluminum bedding blocks and some type of reinforcement in the plastic general Kevlar. These are excellent stocks and make a great platform for a weapon. Everyday ordinary plastic stocks are junk.
When in doubt I go with my tried and true theory:
Beer should be cold, Women should be hot, & Guns should have Wood stocks.

RE: Laminate vs. composite stock
Wood stocks generally offer more stability, but swell and can change POA when exposed to significant amounts of moisture. Wood stocks look much better in my opinion as well. Wood stocks are heavier, but help to reduce felt recoil with extra heft. Synthetic/composite stocks do not swell, lighter, are usually flimsier and do not look as good. You can get very good accuracy out of either with the right set-up. I would take these things into consideration and pick which ever one turns your crank the fastest!
