Broken Stock??????
My daughter's youth model 870 20 gauge shotgun was dropped this past weekend and the top portion of the stock which I believe is called the comb broke. It only broke cleanly a two inch circular portion of the stock. The remaining stock is still firmly attached. I glued the piece of stock back on with liquid nails adhesive, however I am concerned about the safety of the gun. Is the gun safe to fire, or should I replace the stock?

RE: Broken Stock??????
i would take it out and try shooting some light trap loads see what happens and then maybe some heavier loads if it doesnt seem right then i would replace it this also depends on how much it would cost to replace it if you can get one cheap then just repalce it

Replace it or repair it, and not with liquid nails, before you shoot it again. If it is broken atthe wrist it is likely unsafe to shoot and should be either replaced or repaired professinally.
Is your daughters face worth a $50 stock?
