I'm in the biggest city in Canada and have checked every sporting goods store in town, and I honestly can't say that ever even seen a fixed low power scope!

Well I guess I am just the odd man out. I had a 30-30 and it was scoped. And all my friends 30-30's are scoped. I had a 3x 9 x 40 on it. My reason for that kind of magnification was because I wanted to be able to look the deer over real well. My eyes are not the best in the world, and it helps me to get a good look at the deer.

Try SIR Mailorder (Winnipeg, Manitoba) have had good luck with them, quick shipping, andI think they have some lower powered fixies

Hmm, a 4X32 fixed power scope is a pretty popular one. Most of them that I have ever seen are priced under $50. I know that Wallmart has one and Sportsmansguide.com has one too.
