Are you serious or trying to make some kind of point?

In case your serious:

.300 win mag of course has a ton more power but isn't as flat shooting as a .243.

However, .243 is only suitable for deer sized and smaller game where the .300 can take any north american game.

No I wasn't trying to make a point, I just started shooting over a year ago, I thought the .243 was based on the 7mm mag case?

.243 Win is based on the 308win case.

The 22-250 is a necked down 250-3000 Savage casing. The 300 Mag would have much more energy that the 243 which as mentioned above is a 308 necked down to 6 MM

45/70,
Welcome to the board! The .243 Win. and it's virtual twin, the 6MM Rem. with good 100 gr. hunting bullets are a great minimum caliber for ANY whitetail deer! Light recoil and smaller bullets make the .243/6MM one of the best duel purpose (varmint/deer) cartridges available.
The .300 Win. mag. is quite a bit more powerful than the .243/6MM, (with the accompanying recoil) and is suitable for anything in North America. It's a little much for deer size game, but I'd rather be over-gunned than under-gunned.
I know I'll probably hear it for this but, for my personal deer hunting, I'd take the .243!

I didn't check any tables but I seriously doubt the 243 will shoot flatter than the 300 mag. also jag, what do you expect to hear, as I think the 243 makes perfect whitetail medicine,If I owned one I would certainly use it.

Don't feed the troll guys. Take a look at when Magnum Man 300 claims to have left and when 45/70 Gov registered. Shocking coincidence considering they both post the exact same drivel like this. My 88 year old grandmother who never hunted knows a 300 win mag is far more powerful than a 243. I find it hard to believe this thread is based on a serious inquiry.
