This happened to my neighbor last week and he ended up missing the deer at 25 yards trying to decipher what he was seeing in the scope that close up.

I have no idea what power he had his scope set to. It was probably turned way up from checking to see if it was still sited in.... Could have just been buck feever too beings it was his first time out deer hunting in about 15 years lol.
