What do you all think about Charles Daly
I really never hear anything about this company and dont have any experience with them, on their web site their wood stocked rifles, pistols, shotguns all look very nice and have a really nice looking blueing done to them, does anyone know anything about how they perform, are the functional, reliable, etc, anything would be nice, their prices are the only thing that gets me cause they are reasonably priced, whatever you can tell me would be nice thanks,

I was doing a little research on having a left handed mauser built for me one time. If you're talking about rifles then their actions are very good and gunsmiths are happy to built a gun with them. That's all I concerned myself with back then. I don't think highly of their shotguns...but they do fill a niche of the market. (a $200 auto will always be a $200 auto). Sorry I don't know if there barrels are good or what the overall product is like. As far as functional or reliable....Well, in rifles you don't get much better than the mauser-styled actions IMHO.

From what I've read, their pistols are pure junk, rifles are ok and the shotguns are hit or miss. Was going to get one of their 1911 untill I read about all their problems.

I've heard bad things about them. I had one of their pump shotguns once and it wasn't too great. It came rusty. I think that Stoeger is a better deal for the money(for shotguns anyways).

They've imported some very good guns over the years, but they've also imported some junk. The rifles they used to import that are now under the name of Remington were pretty good. I was never impressed with most of the shotguns bearing their name.

We have 3 CD semi shotguns here in the house. 2 12's and a 20.
I like them and have had no problems. I use to own a Remington 1100 many years ago. You can definitly tell the quality is not all there in the CD's.
They shoot and handle very well and are well worth the price. They aren't fancy and won't be turning heads at the skeet range. You will find, that they are great field guns that won't break the bank.

I have heard some pretty good things about Charles Daly guns in the past, hey if a gun is built on a mauser action it can't be all that bad.
