RE: Why a Spurless Hammer?
PRO-it wont become snagged on your clothing while drawing it (for concealed carry applications)
CON-always double action becasue of the difficulty of pulling the hammer back by hand, which wouldnt affect CC very much, but would seriously impair hunting with it.

I am looking at purchasing a 357 revolver soon, and I am curious of the advantages/ disadvantages of having a Spurless Hammer.
Thanks!

Spurless won't wear a hole in your blazers and sports coats, if you have to dress up a bit for duty. If you are looking at a 2" snubby, the S&W Bodyguard has a shrouded hammer that is snagproof, but you can still go single action if you need to. The Centennial types are entirely hammerless. You can fire them from your pocket or even a bag of groceries unless you get a tootsie roll stuck in the trigger guard. Mrs Biscuit loves her Centennial.
