RE: Gun Help
If you are leaning toward a 22 centerfire,( I'm of the 243 school of thought too) but if you want a 22 cf I'd recomend the 223 over the 22-250, don't start yelling before I finish; The 223 can be had with a 1-9" barrel twist which will stablise the longer and heavier 22 bullets. The Speer 70 gr simi spitzer is as good as you can do in this caliber, and will completely pass thru a fair size deer on a broad side shot, and mushroom beautifully. The deer I've shot with mine will go a little further than when hit with a 30-06. The 22-250 can only be had with a 1-12 twist and will not stabilise any bullet over 55 gr that I'm aware of, though I havn't tried them all. But the truth is I don't take any angle shots that will require added penitration, since these small bullets suck in that area. You will be better off over gunned for varmints than under gunned for deer!

.243, 6.5 X 55, 260, .257 Roberts could all make an argument as great crossover catridges for your coyote and deer dual hunting. Plenty of decent bullets available in these calibers for both the jobs you'd want to perform.
Of them all the .243 is probably the best choice if you are going to use factory ammo only. But if you handload the world is your oyster for the cartridges mentioned above.
