winchester ammo question
i currently use winchester 180 gr. silvertips in my 30-06, and i saw the other day on thier website that the accubonds that winchester uses has a black coating, and its called Lubalox. i am wondering with this coating if there are any affecting factors to the gun barrel and rifeling if i was to use this ammo. also would i still have to use copper cleaner when i clean the gun even though there is some kind of coating on the bullet? anyone that has had any expierience with this ammo i would love to hear what your input is!! thanks

RE: winchester ammo question
Lubalox will not in lay like Moly inyour bore. It is said to reduce copper fouling but you'll still have to copper clean as usual. IMO never really noticed any difference between the CT (lubalox) and Nosler bullets in terms of fouling. I actual prefer nosler bullets that do not use the coatings.
FYI, Federal Premium load the Nosler Accubond(uncoated- same bullet).
