my 260 rem at the range
i went to the range today. it's starting to get cold up here so i didn't have any problems with the barrel getting warm. i was stuck on a bench between 2 guys shooting big guns tho! anyways i love this gun. i was shooting 140gr remington cor lokt bullets and i was getting 1 inch groups at 100m. i won't even mention recoil cause i don't think it has any. i really love the short action as well. big difference from the 7mm mag. i'm really pumped to take this set up out for deer season on nov 11!
btw lots of guys came up to me at the range and wanted to have a closer look at my rifle. lots of them spoke highly of the 260 remington and the mountain rifle.

The Mountain rifle is the best looking production rifle Remimngton makes(IMHO). Mine used to get quite a few looks at the range when they would see the groups it was capable of shooting. The best group I shot was a 5 shot@100yds it measured .323. Most of the time the groups ranged anywhere from 1/2"-1". BTW mine was chambered in 25-06.
