Default Removing creep from my Remington trigger

I've got a Remington Model 7 thatI starting playing with its trigger earlier tonight. I tinkered around with it and am very happy with the results except for the fact that it seems to have more creep now than it did before. The trigger pull is at a much better weight; just before I get to that weight though, there is a definite period of slack. Does anybody know what I have to do to remove that slack? Is it the sear screw? The over travel screw? Or the trigger pull screw? Or a combination of all three?

Thanks in advance!

Bring it to a gunsmith would be a really good suggestion. The older Rem triggers were easy to adjust , the new ones are pretty inconsistent.Even if you replace it with a Timney/Shilen trigger they will need work as well.

I did a quick shooting session with it just to see if I liked the trigger this morning....and to put it mildly....YES! I pulled the first shot...but the next three settled into a .646" group. Thats my best ever with the rifle. I still wish I could remove the creep, but I think I can live with it if I must. Once this rain quits, I'm going back out to try a little more.

Had the same prob when I did mine... Went back and reread the directions and started all over again and got it right... You might want to try again
