Default Which 223 to buy?

Hey guys, I've been kicking around the idea of buying myself a new 223 to play with. I already have a brand new Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40 with the side vocus to put on it. I used to have a RRA 16" Varmint, a Remington 700 bull barrel, and I still have a Mini 14. Right now I am leaning towards a Browning A-Bolt Composite Stalker, or a Tikka T3.

Whichever gun I choose once I get some range time/load testing it will be sent off to get dipped in camo and it will be my new calm day varmint gun, and my Tikka 243 will be my windy day gun.

I am planning on trading off my Ruger P89 9mm to cover half the cost or so. What other guns should I consider, and why?

Browning, Savage and Remington would all be good choices. I own all three brands. The Browning is hard to beat. I know the triggers can be really great when adjusted right.

I would go with something inthe AR-15 platform. There are some incredible"whole" guns out right now, orif you take pride in something like this, you can build one yourself to fit your needs/wants.

Ok, here is some more criteria. I don't want a heavy barrelled gun, I want to be able to tote this thing in rough coyote country. I don't want a semi-auto like an AR15, I will get around to putting together an M4 one of these days for a tottally different kind of toy. I also want a box magazine with my rifle, I absolutely hate blind box magazines. So that may have ruled out the savage, if I looked correctly the smallest caliber they offer with a box magazine is 22-250.

Picky, Picky.Sounds like the Browning is the way to go. I just got the Remington SPS in 223. However I have only shot it once so far. Darn wind just won't quit up here. We either have 40 MPH wind OR rain. Or BOTH.[:@]Well it was kinda dry up here but of late the sky has really opened up.

Yes, its been windy here too, and the last few days its been really humid and trying to rain (we dried up alot need the rain). I have been doing good on the Walleyes. Fished in my first tournament of the year on Sunday and won. Weighed in 7 walleyes at 17.7lbs.

I was in Sodak last week picking up some stuff and noticed they had a Browning A-Bolt Composite Stalker in 25WSSM for $500.....
