Default Looking for some good input....

Have any of you ever had any problems with Remington?

I bought a new 597 .22 almost two years ago and it has spent almost as much time back at their shop as it has with me. It's a freaking .22!! For God's sakes I'd sell this POS if I could but I never have it long enough before something else goes wrong and then they hold it for four month's trying to fix it!!!

I had never had a problem like this before and these JO's keep jerking with me and right about now I can say I WILL NEVER buy another Remington! POS or not they are just JackA$$es to try and get something done, GOOD LUCK!

Sorry about the rant, but this crap has got me pissed! I bought this freakin gun to plink and chase squirrels and rabbits, what a waste!!! I knew I should have got the Ruger...

Thats why it pays to read up on something before you buy it. The 597 is notorus for being a peice of crap. I have to say that every other remington besides the 710 & 597 are great guns. You got what you payed for. Same goes with the cheap marlins. You cant buy those and expect then to have the same quality as their other guns.

Guns cause crime, like flies cause garbage.

If it makes you feel any better I bought a 597 a long time ago and hated it so much I ended up giving it away. Total junk. Cut your losses and get rid of it.
