RE: What is Leupold thinking?
I have a number of leupolds and I had a conquest. It did not match up to any of the vxII and up.The light is less with the conquest than the leupold.I had a conquest and sold it too buy my VXIII.I have tried them at the range and in the field in light, low light and no light and the Leupold beat the Conquest when it comes too light. When it comes too clarity they are equial up too 350 yards.350 yards and more the Leupold wins.I am not saying that a conquest is a bad scope but just as a under dog.I would not have any problem taking a Conquest into the woods.
Everyone is of course entitled to their opinion, but if you check on the vast majority of shooting forums,an overwhelming majority of people disagree with you.So just how many conquests and vxIIs or vxIIIs have you compared side by side at first and last light under actual hunting conditions?I actually own both and have compared several more in varying magnifications and lens sizes.

I love the amount of light that I get in with the lences of the Leupold VXII.In my (((opinion))) it is better than the Ziess conquest

As you can see ,the vast majority of people that have compared the vxiii to the conquest, think that the conquest is both clearer and brighter.

This is taken fromour ownpoll at the top of the gun page. Now I am not trying to say that Leupold is the very best. But I will say that Leupold is one of the best, and that a lot of hunters do buy and use them. Out of 683hunters/shooters that have voted so far, 295 have choosen Leupold. This poll alone speaks volumes in my book. Buy and use what you want, but for me I am a Leupold fan and will use thier products. They have yet to fail me or anyone else that I personaly know. Like I said before I like the new VX-L so I guess I am the odd duck out, and to each their own. To read some of your posts on this subject you would think that Leupold is at the bottom end of quality, and that almostall otherscope manufactures are produceing better products.
