Default Brought it home today

I picked up my 270 WSM Varmit Model Savage Accu-Trigger rifle today. I already had the bases and I bought the die set last week. I picked up a box of 140 Grain Ballistic tips and I have AA-3100, H4831 and RE 22 on hand to start with. I also bought a Box of WW 150 grain PP's and a Box of 130 GR Ballistic Silvertips. I bought a Bag of 50 New WW Brass a couple months ago. The Weather is warming up and man am I ready to do some shooting.

I have a 3x9 VX-l, a Aetec 3.8x12 lighted rectical scope and a Scheels Outfitter 4x14 with Sun Shade all on the shelf. The Rifle is the Stainless 26 inch Heavy barrel and weights 8.75 lbs without a scope. I don't expect the recoil to be bad at all but I will know tomorrow.

Congrats! You'll have to let us know how it performs. If you don't mind me asking, what is the street price on it? That is one of the guns I have been looking at and am just curious what the real world price is.

I bought it at a full sevice sporting goods store. Their Price was 575.00 Sportsmans Warehouse had the same gun in 300 WSM for 535.00 It would have been the same for the 270 but they didn't have one in stock. I would guess that a little more shopping would maybe buy it for 500.00. There isn't any competition in this town but the guys down there always treat me right and I bought my Boat from them as well. It has a Flutted barrel and for a Savage, its a pretty good looking rifle. Ugly barrel nut and all.

She has been pretty calm since she bought that new saddle. However, now she is looking at horses. Can't have a new saddle without a horse. I Wonder where she learned this kind of behavior?Lucky for me that mybrother has a Farmstead here andhas some horses for her to ride and train.

Sounds great James.Don't give up if the factories don't shoot good for you. My/My boys 270 Wsm Loves 140g sierra gamekings over H4831sc powder. R19 produced some very nice clover leaf patterns but the 4831 made ragged holes. Hope she shoots for ya. Recoil may be a little more substantial than you think.

Good to hear ya got it home! The weather all nasty up your way like it is here? Been spitting/misting all day, kinda making it hard for me to load corn. Not very ideal shooting weather either. I won't be able to buy any hunting toys for a while now, got a whole new top-end coming for my 390 in my old truck

Wasting money on things like trucks and food? Whats next?Yeah I tried shooting today but the wind was 24-45 MPH and almost but not quite raining.

My oldest boy is over in Watertown working now. Someone quit at one of that outfits cafes and they sent him from Sioux Falls to Watertown to run that one until they find a new manager. They would like him to stay there and run it but he is waiting to hear their offer.
