i have a win. 94 trapper in 44 mag and it's my worst kicking gun. i would much rather shoot a bunch or rounds through my 06 than through the 44. it's pretty bad once you shoot a few rounds. it's great for hogs though.

I think it is a mind game. I had to just overcome it with much time shooting. I do reccomend a better recoil pad. It is a quick and dirty fix when compared to muzzle brakes.

A good Recoil pad will help in felt recoil (like: sims/R3 or pachmayer decels). I have them on most of my CF's, they make tshirt rangedays much more enjoyable.
