RE: NEF ejection issues
Yeah, I have found a temporary cure in just using clean brass, but some of the hunts I do in wyoming and colorado dont allow for pristine ammo t stay pristine. I didnt have any problems with it during the deer hunt in oklahoma this year, but we are never further than a mile from the truck and we are just laying in a tallgrass area waiting for the dumb ones. A pretty controlled environment in comparison to the rocky mountain hunting in colorado - home. I might just try having the chamber polished. Thanks, EJ

RE: NEF ejection issues
I found that my handi in 06 ejection problem start when I load near max:
otherwise the gun never gives me any problems.I found that IMR3031 44.5 grains and 165 hornady SP bullet will shoot 3 shots around 7/8 " at the 100 yard target with no ejections problem, but as soon as I go to 45. grains the problem begin.
I just purchase it a 45-70 BC and loaded with BP so far has not had any problems.I think the only drawback is the short throat when it comes to 500 grainers boolets.
