Talley one piece
Anybody ever use these Talley one piece jobs? Talley hasa wonderful reputation. But I usually use steel only. But I ordered this to put on an encore 204 putting together. Figured you don't need a whole lot of strength so aluminum will do.

I used a set of these a couple months back on a customer's .20 Tactical. The logic here was weight savings - no separate bases and rings, plus the hardware. They work well! This little 5 1/2 lb. rifle shoots one hole groups with the 36 gr. Berger.

I have the Talley Screw Lock Quick Release mounts on my Savage muzzleloader and I love them.
In fact a good friend has the one pieces on his Savage muzzleloader as well. I can tell you, he ownsenough gun related equipementtorun a gunsmith shop and shooting range at the same time. I take his opinions very seriously and .....He absolutely loves those mounts....

I mount them a lot of TC encore rifles. Both muzzle loaders and center fire rifles. I think they are a great mounting system. They are very beefy and plenty strong. I wouldn't hesitate to use them on just about any center fire rifle. They look good too.

Although I am obviously not an expert on lapping, the rings I own seemed to have been machined to such incredible tollerences it was amazing. I am certain that if you contact the office they could actually give you some factual tollerance numbers that might help you with your decision. The company is very helpful when it comes to that type of info.
